the argyle academy in ANORAK

I recently finished up a TEN page story for an incredible children's magazine calledANORAK.I found out about them a while back and have been hoping to do something for them. The story I worked on was about Barnaby, a paper boat for their SUMMER TRAVEL (08) issue. You can order the issuehereor buy one at one ofthese stores .

a Swedesplease facelift.

I recently did a new banner for Swedesplease, a favorite blog here at the argyle academy. They focus on Swedish pop, indie, electronica, etc and they are one of the few blogs I'm sure to check out daily. Who knew there was good Swedish music other than Ace of Base? (click the banner above to see the banner in action)

Who are some of my favorite Swedish bands? Easy.

1. The Concretes (well, untilthishappened)
2. Sondre Lerche
3. Dungen
4. The Sounds (guilty pleasure)
5. Shout out Louds
6. And, is it possible not to love these guys:

(I'm sure I'll add to this list after I think about it a bit more).

Dim Sum in New York

back from surtex!
I just got back from Surtex in NYC last night.  I took the bus for a ridiculously cheap 40$ roundtrip (which included water and wi-fi).  The only downside of taking the bus was the lack of leg room on the trip up.  I actually had to ask my neighbor if he would mind sticking his legs into the aisle so I could put my legs in front of his seat.  It wasn't as weird as it sounds.  It was sort of as weird as it sounds.

The show was amazing, and it was great to (finally) meet all of my lovely agents fromLILLA ROGERS STUDIO
Here's me and another LRS artist, Helen Dardik

Here I am with Lilla in front of my banner (the one with the rabbits, of course):
